At LACP our teachers establish their own lesson plans, for the most part .We see this as one of the best ways to utilize their experience and talents. The exceptions to this are the French program that is taught by Ellen Williams and Brenda Milhem, and Zoophonics, taught by each teacher.

For French a variety of materials are used, but ”The Learnables” program is the cornerstone of our teaching method. This unique approach provides a methodical building of vocabulary and grammar suitable for all ages.

Zoophonics is a developmental approach to reading that allows those young students who are ready to read to do so, while still being fun for the students that are not yet interested .

In addition to French and Zoophonics, each classroom provides a structure, which includes
- Circle Time
- Music
- Open and closed ended projects
- S
cience
- Children’s literature
- Cognitive play
- Bible Circle
- F
ree play
- O
utdoor play
