Our beginning was humble; with three staff members and seventeen enrolled students. As of the 2003/2004 school year  we have 14 staff members and over one hundred forty students!

Our school is unique in several ways. We believe that the differences in children should be considered when teaching is approached; therefore we do not subscribe to only one style of teaching. With over one hundred years of cumulative classroom experience, our staff uses several methods that have been proven effective and fun for young children.

We are primarily developmental, but we use some emergent, academic and play based guidelines for our varied activities.

Our maximum classroom size is limited to ten children with a teacher and halftime teaching assistant and twelve children with a teacher and full time teaching assistant.  Our 2 yr old class is limited to 10 children with a teacher and a full time teaching assistant.  While this ratio is well below the California requirements, we find it helps us to more easily bond with the young students in our program. This low ratio also enables our teachers to notice areas of strength as well as possible concerns in each child.

Finally, French lessons are offered four days per week. Because the language portion of the brain is most active between the ages of two to five, we want to take full advantage by exposing children to foreign language while it is most easily learned. This is all offered in a warm, structured Christian environment.
